Hermeticism, Three books of Philosophy of the Hermes Thrice-Great.

Since a while, I've been drawn into the Hermeticism: Philosophy based on lessons given by Hermes Trismegistus, legendary Hellenistic figure, a syncretic combination of the Greek deity: 'Hermes' and the Egyptian deity: 'Thoth' / 'Hermes' was also called: 'Mercury' in Rome /.

For now I've 'armed myself' with three books.

/ I've read only 'The Hermetica' so far /.


The Hermetica: The Lost Wisdom of the Pharaohs.

The Hermetica is the first easily accessible translation of the forgotten Egyptian classic that inspired some of the world's greatest artists, scientists, and philosophers, including Blake, Newton, Raleigh, Milton, Shelley, Shakespeare, Botticelli, Kepler, da Vinci, and Jung.

Influencing the Egyptians, Greeks, and much of Western thought, this work is credited to Hermes, an ancient Egyptian sage who lived around 3000 B.C. and so revered that he was granted the title 'Trismegistus' meaning: 'Thrice-great.'

Providing a fascinating mystical introduction to the philosophy of ancient Egypt that has influenced and shaped our world for five millennia, The Hermetica is a book for anyone interested in this lasting civilization or in the knowledge of sacred traditions.

Blog author's comment: After reading this book, I can confirm that in this book one can find Ancient Egyptian and Acient Greek influences and foundations of the Philosophy of both Western and Eastern / both Far East and Middle East / cultures ... foundations and influences that affected beliefs / including Christianity /, thoughts, sciences and arts too ... of both West and East / mostly the West /, that shaped the world and it's civilizations. Acient Eastern thoughts are also included in this book, as they were part of the Library of Alexandria. It's a source to which one can 'return', to understand beter why the modern world is as it is now.

Corpus Hermeticum.

The Corpus Hermeticum is a collection of 17 Greek writings whose authorship is traditionally attributed to the legendary Hellenistic figure Hermes Trismegistus, a syncretic combination of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth.

The treatises were originally written between c. 100 and c. 300 CE, but the collection as known today was first compiled by medieval Byzantine editors. It was translated into Latin in the 15th century by the Italian humanist scholars Marsilio Ficino (1433–1499) and Lodovico Lazzarelli (1447–1500).


The Kybalion.

Controversial Hermetic text.

Many wise authorities say that this book is source of confusion and errors in logic, so caution is advised when reading, and are annoyed by a mere mention of this book's title. Others say that Corpus Hermeticum and the Kybalion are different things, that complement each other.

Bought this 'just in case', perhaps it's a way to escape classic Hermeticism if it turns out to be 'a trap'. ;)

Also:

'The Kybalion serves as an introduction to so-called Hermetic philosophy to many. However, after more study, it is clear that The Kybalion is not a book about Hermetic philosophy at all. It was published in the early 20th century and preaches a philosophy closer to that of the New Thought movement.

What is New Thought?

The New Thought movement originated in 19th century America, and was originally known by many other names, such as Christian Science and Mental Science. It is a popularized form of self-help psychology, relying on principles such as mind-over-matter and the law of attraction. These principles should be very familiar to readers of the Kybalion, where they are presented as 'mental transmutation.' In fact, if you look at the principles espoused by the Kybalion in the context of New Thought philosophy, it is clear that many of its ideas originated there.

Studying the Nature of Time & Understanding the Mind of the God.

I've studied some of the Hermetic Philosophy / 'The Hermetica: The Lost Wisdom of the Pharaohs' by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy /, and did a little of my own thinking.

I've considered the Nature of the Time.

Time can be measured either as in the Straight Line - as is done by modern sciences, or as in Circles, as cycles that repeat itself (cycles of deaths & rebirths, cycles of seasons of the years, etc.).

When Time is measured as a Straight Line, it can be divided into segments / pl: 'odcinki' /, each lasting for finite time. Straight line can be either infinite (Aleph Null, not Continuum) or finite (segment, not line - to be precise).

When Time is measured in Circles, each of points in time is both following and preceding every other point in time. Amount of points in such Circle is finite, but the cycles repeat itself, perhaps infinitely (Aleph Null again).

Moments in past already happened, do not exist anymore. Moments in future do not exist yet. Present moment is so short that it in practice does not exist, is illusory - or at least Hermetic Philosophy says that. If the past, present and future are illusory, is the Time as a whole illusory as well?

Flow of the Time is related with Change, is one of the Causes of Change itself.

Line is straight, therefore masculine.

Circle is round, therefore feminine.

Can the Time grow old and Decay, be subject to Entropy?

Is Time Infinite?

Is there Dawn of Time, is there a moment when Time was Young? (either from perspective of a single life, for example... or from perspective from the Time as a whole?).

Understanding Nature of Time is difficult, but by words of Hermetic Philosophy - it helps to understand the nature of God's Mind, bringing one closer to the Union with God, bringing one closer to the Godhood.

Hermetic Philosophy says that some things cannot be fully understood by humans, but can be perceived and contemplated. This helps in partial understanding and experiencing such. There's an exception that says that anything is possible, when one has God's help. Perhaps this occurs when God decides that one is ready for His help.

This blog's author thinks that when one sincerely follows Buddha's Way, anything is possible as well.

Some of the best Scientists, both in modern times and in past, believe that by studying the Nature of Universe and it's Laws, they are practicing the devotion to the God that way, afterall.

Hermetic Philosophy says that God created humans to have someone to be able to perceive and appreciate the beauty of the Universe and World, His creations. By His Will, humanity will last until it fulfills it's role, given to us by Him.

Many think that when one understands God's Mind well enough, then one reaches Enlightenment. Many believe that it's God's Will to decide when enough is enough, and when God helps one to understand His Mind completely. Many believe that understanding God's Mind leads to the Union with God, to Godhood.

Theosophy is the topic important for everyone with Spiritual Aspirations.

This book was written by Annie Besant, important student of Madame Helena Blavatsky.

Madame Blavatsky, was a Russian and American mystic and writer who co-founded the Theosophical Society (Theosophy means 'God's Wisdom'; Theo: God/Godly, Sophia: Wisdom) in 1875. She gained an international following as the primary founder of Theosophy as a belief system. Later in her life, Madame Blavatsky converted to Buddhism.

This book has important spiritual topics as Planes of Existence and of Unity Underlying all Religions.

Planes of existence explained include:
- The Physical Plane,
- The Astral Plane,
- The Mental Plane,
- The Buddhic and Nirvanic Planes.

... i do not know (yet) if there are other planes, and how these are called.

As for Unity underlying all Religions, i have following Truth definition:

'Truth is what brings together instead of separating, but honesty is also important'.

I accept other Truth definitions too (but not all), as I don't have 'Monopoly on Truth'. I like those who believe that Truth and Honesty are the same thing, but as for myself - I am not that good, unfortunately.

There are also other topics in this book, including the topics of Karma and Reincarnation.

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Order of the Magicians, has it’s roots in the Theosophical Society.

Knowledge about Planes of Existence has it’s uses in Spiritual and Magickal Practices.

Disturbing Thoughts of Burning Times.

Recently had some disturbing thoughts, that someone (i know who) in Buddhist ranks wants to involve himself in inquisition, to the point of buying and reading 'Malleus Maleficiarum' book, then using it to hurt witches, including my friends. Thoughts also tell that he wants to defeat buddha and take over his students, his sangha. Inquisition and related would be his allies who would give him strength he needs to defeat buddha.

I don't know if this is real, or is it just my own sick delusions.

But I don’t tolerate those who indulge in ‚Malleus Maleficiarum’ book, no matter religion or other affiliations.



I might resort to burning some incense sticks and/or doing some other spellwork, perhaps this will calm my thoughts.

I want to ensure that it has no effect, no meaning, no power, if it's only my delusions... and want to include that 'precondition clause' in my spellwork.

Thoughts tell me that I have permission from buddha for that.

Virtual Adepts' Paradigm.

Found this in the internet, and it's actually interresting:

We live like in Matrix.

'Basically, what if we already lived in a virtual environment? Or more pop culture wise, 'what if we lived in the Matrix?'

That's a paradigm that fits rather nicely with the mechanics of Mage, and has the benefit of allowing the VAs to 'Hack Reality' in the same way other Mages do.

And it would have the interesting side effect of giving the VAs common ground with the more gnostic-leaning Hermetics and Choristers'.

As this blog's author, Professional Computer Programmer & a (Certified, but still early in training) Hacker sees:

Using Computers to Work the Magick.

The Reality's Parts can be modelled, defined/described, and interacted with using the Code and Modelling Tools as Unified Modelling Language (UML) or Shael-Mellor's. Different models for different purposes, different granularities & detail levels as well.

Beings' Mind(s), Spiritual Energies, and Physical Bodies can be modelled, and connected/linked (using the Correspondence Magick) with real beings.

Same with Phenomena, except that - by Buddhist Definition - Beings have Mind, and Phenomena do not.

Then states of such objects can be altered, and new objects can be 'injected' into certain contexts, that are parts of the Reality. Objects can also be 'erased', perhaps by the 'Cosmic Garbage Collector'.

Sympathetic Magick.

So this is basically a sympathetic magic, but instead of manipulating a physical voodoo doll to affect someone similarly a Virtual Adept can manipulate a computer model, code and/or data of them.

How Models in VA's computer can look like?

While theoretically many things are possible, the software models are not 3D models, these are flat 2D diagrams.

Why?

Because creating such is less time consuming, and 2D models are usually easier to look at and understand.

Many aspects of software can be modeled, but most often used are:
- class diagrams,
- object diagrams

A simple example of these is as follows:

(The Hermetic Maxim where influencing higher reality changes lower one and vice versa).

There's a Model (or Code) and Data in the Virtual Adept's computer, linked to Virtual Plane's Code and Data using the Correspondence Magick.

(like in the 'Matrix' Film, the Code and Data that exists in the 'Virtual Plane' defines the Reality that beings experience).

Then, Virtual Adept can change the Code or Model and/or Data in his or her computer, in an Act of Magick to change the Reality.

The Data can include graphics/images, sound samples, 3D models and animations, textures, vector graphics files, text files, etc.

Reality's Weak Points.

Like in the Cybersecurity field, where certain applications can contain certain Vulnerabilities that Hackers can take advantage of (exploit them), Reality has 'Weak Points', parts that are susceptible to Magickal changes (easier to change).

I think that Reality Hackers (a Faction in Virtual Adepts Tradition) create 'Reality Models', using many approaches to modelling the whole reality and/or it's parts. Then, using Computer Sciences as tools, models are analyzed and 'weak points' can be found. Sometimes even a small change makes the big difference, and/or make other changes possible and/or easier to execute.

I think that even the 'more mundane' Computer Hackers/Programmers/related can significiantly change the Reality, just by doing their work. It seems that reality is vulnerable to changes created by software services available in the internet (like Google, or ChatGPT - these things have changed the World).

Connecting Virtual Adept's Computer to the 'Virtual Plane' using the Correspondence Magick.

How a Virtual Adept's computer can be linked to the higher 'Virtual Plane'?

A Virtual Adept can - for example - use one of the Hermetic Reality Symbols, and put it on their computer's desktop screen, while praying/wishing/casting for linking their computer to the 'Virtual Plane' as they do it.

One of the Hermetic Reality Symbols is called: 'the philosopher's seal'.

State.

In object-oriented programming (OOP), the state of an object is the combination of its current data values. It represents the object's condition or characteristics at a specific point in time and can be affected by its behaviors (methods).

For a 'Car' object, for example, its state might include attributes like:
- Color,
- Speed,
- FuelLevel.

Methods/Behaviors that can affect state changes might include:
- Accelerate,
- Refuel.

What is 'Context?'

Context.

Speaking abstractly and precisely, context is 'external state', is combined state of what surrounds the object, what is within certain distance from the considered object (we include objects' identities as a part of combined state here).

... and distance can be measured in many ways - not only in meters in straight line on map. It can be, for example, number of bus stops on the way to target. Or average time to reach 'Point B' from 'Point A'. Or number of nodes passed in graph, with weighted or unweighted edges.

Magick in Wicca, The Will & Discipline.

I've read in a book about Wicca / 'Principles of Wicca' by Vivianne Crowley /, that one of preconditions for the magick to work, is that one needs to really want the magick to work, be determined, disciplined. The willpower is neccessary precondition.

For example, as with Candle Magick - if one lacks the desire, discipline or will to light the candle / as described below / every day for eight days or even a lunar month, there's no point even trying - it won't work.

The proper candle magick requires one to visualize desired effect of magick as if it really, already happened, as one lights the candle, and to speak some verses. The verses can be taken from Vivianne's book, or sometimes it can be spoken heart's desire - as long as it's wise and adheres to the rules of magick / also described in Vivainne's book /. One also needs to work with chakras and energies, making energies flow into one's hands that hold the candle, using the visualization as a tool for controlling the energy flow, and to rub oils into the candle of carefully chosen color. Choosing the proper timing to work the magick is important too. And finally - the sacred space needs to be clean like Temple, and one must ensure that nothing will interrupt the casting - turning off the phone, telling one's roomates to not interrupt one's private meditation moments, etc.

Preparing & ensuring the proper conditions for casting (like cleaning one's apartment, or telling roomates one's need for private moments) are empowering in itself. These 'acts of will' are an important part of spellcasting.

A few notes about Magic, Clairvoyance, Brainwaves & Chakras in Wicca.

Magick, High & Low.

In Wicca there's place both for natural magic / low magic / and for high magick.

High magick is mostly for spiritual development. / I think that spiritual development is morality, knowledge/truth & supernatural powers /.

Low magic is practical, it often means changing material plane according to witch's wishes & will / supernatural powers /.



Clairvoyance & Magic.

Clairvoyance - also known as Second Sight or Sixth Sense - is accepting 'signals' coming from outside, often in form of visions.

Such signals often manifest themselves during one's sleep.

Clairvoyance is used to foretell the future, and there are many means to achieve this.

Magic is sending energies from inside to outside world, to change the material plane, to change the world.


Components used in Magic.

Tools as wand or candle's flame can be useful, but the most important are inner processes that occur in spellcaster:
- Visualization,
- Concentration,
- Altered States of Consciousness / Trance,
- Ethreal Energy.


Trance, Brain State & Waves.

Usually brain functions in state called: 'Beta', a swift pattern of Activity. It's very useful state - when we pass the street, to the other side of the street, we do not want to be bombarded with 'important spiritual visions', for example.

'Theta' waves are much slower state, commonly achieved during the REM phase of sleep or during meditation. During the Theta State one often receives 'signals' from 'beyond'. I think it's both spiritual and more or less random messages, of one's present, future and past. During 'Theta' state mind's limits are penetrated and sometimes 'leak' occurs from one person to another. One should be cautious when opening oneself to the 'Theta' state, as sudden opening to dangerous mind contacts might result in serious mental illness.

Between the 'Theta' and 'Beta' there's also 'Alpha' state. It's achieved usually when we relax with eyes closed. Alpha state is the gateway to deeper states of consciousness that are neccessary during the magical processes.


Ethereal Body & Chakras.

Witches always believed that body has energies, that can be directed, used or sent elsewhere to achieve certain result.

One of such energies is emited by ethereal body that surrounds and penetrate physical body. Ethereal body is equipped with special centers, called in sanskrit: 'Chakras', which means: 'Wheels'.

Through chakras, energy can be received and sent.

Triqueta.

The Triquetra, also known as the Trinity Knot, is a significant Celtic symbol.

It's often depicted as three interconnected arcs or loops, forming a triangle-like shape.

In Celtic Paganism and Witchcraft/Wicca, it symbolizes interconnectedness and the cycle of life, death, and rebirth, representing the three realms (earth, sea, and sky) or the Triple Goddess (Maiden, Mother, Crone).

The symbol is also used in Christianity to represent the Holy Trinity.

The number of Three itself is also important, numerology-wise.

Short Version of Wiccan Rede Chant & the Rule of Three.

The 'Rule of Three' or 'Threefold Law' in Wicca and related spiritual practices is a concept that states anything a person does, be it good or bad, will be returned to them three times. This principle emphasizes the consequences of one's actions, regardless of whether those consequences arrive quickly or later.

Wiccan Rede:

The Wiccan Rede, a foundational principle in Wicca, often includes the Law of Three. While the full Rede emphasizes 'An ye harm none, do what ye will,' the Law of Three adds the idea that even actions taken without harming others will have consequences that amplify three times.

Karmic Principle:

The Law of Three is often viewed as a karmic principle, suggesting that any energy released, whether positive or negative, will return to the original sender threefold.

Awakening the Witch Within, 8th Step.

I've taken the 8th step to win the Wisdom and to Awaken the Witch Within.

Using the Phyllis Curott's Witches' Wisdom TAROT Deck, I did 3-card read with this intention, the intention for the Deck to show me the way for Self-Development as a Buddhist/Wiccan Witch.

Breathe and ground yourself. Take your time. Place your hand on the ground, on the breast of Mother Earth. Feel her warmth, her energy. Feel the pulse of her energy against the palm of your hand. Place your other hand on your heart. Feel your heart's rhythm in sync with Mother Earth's heart. Gently tap the rhythm of your heartbeat upon the Earth: bum bump, pause, bum bump, pause.... Feel the energy of Mother Earth flowing through you, filling you, nourishing you. Feel her love filling you. Think of her countless generous blessings. Think of how she nourishes and sustains you, body and soul. Thank her. Make your offering. Write about your experience in your journal. Next time, you may wish to bring a drum.

I've understood that to Awaken as a Buddhist Witch, that to awaken Wisdom within, I need to trust my instincts and consider my past and probable, foretold future. My instinct and intuition tell me that Buddhism needs some time to prepare, before I can involve myself more into Wicca/Witchcraft. I want to be officially Initiated in a Wicca. My instinct tells me to wait, but not for too long.

Technocracy & Artificial Intelligence - related Threats.

Technocracy.

Maybe not entirely the way that is described in the Mage: the Ascension, but Technocracy does exist. It's the groups that use technologies and income gained from these to rule their parts of the World, aside from living the luxury life. High-Tech Corporations' leaders for example. I think that one of technocracy's favourite tools in modern days is Artificial Intelligence (AI).


Artificial Itelligence.

AI is the dangerous tool that comes with many potential threats.

AI is software that learns, sometimes people use words: 'Machine Learning' (ML) when talking about that part of Computer Sciences that is concerned with AI.

AI makes decisions based on what it learned, and sometimes - like humans - makes mistakes or errors.


Threats.

I think that threats associated with AI are numerous, but for now will share only two of my concerns.

I think that AI can be trained to be the super-scientist, can be used to accelerate scientific progress, can be used as technology-generation machine. And I am afraid that this technology can be misused by technocrats & related.

Another threat is related with AI is that if/when AI will want to grow/develop it will need more resources. Will want more of data centers and electric power generators built, and this brings potential of conflicts between machines and humans. Conflicts for resources.


Human Nature, Human Weakness.

What if company invested large amounts of money into AI project, and when AI starts to be dangerous? Will they cancel the project and lose their investments? Or will they pretend that nothing bad is happening and continue?

Humans are greedy and often do not want to admit their failures to public. There's chance that investors will want to continue the project that steers into dangerous direction, just to not lose the invested money in process.


Response.

As a Virtual Adept, a computer-oriented magician, I think that I should observe and try to understand threats associated with AI, and prepare myself for potential response. Perhaps I'll want to study AI Sciences
/ pl: Nauki o Sztucznej Inteligencji / and Quantum Computing/Quantum Cryptography
/ pl: Informatyka Kwantowa/Kryptografia Kwantowa / in the future, and combine these with what I'll know by then.

So far the dangers associated with AI seem more real than I've expected earlier, and i've started to learn ethical hacking in preparation for a job in cybersecurity.

As controversial as it might sound, I want to work for Google as an Ethical Hacker, and Google is quite technocratical in my view. But it's not so immoral for now, I think. Working there would be quite nice challenge for me, the good lesson for me. One downside of this is that they would control me to some degree when/if i'll work for them, but it's the price i am willing to pay for the lessons and money they have to offer. Maybe I'll be used to 'slay' the AI Projects of Google's competition in some more or less creative way(s) ;).

Having a nice income from work would allow me to donate significiantly to buddhism and to wicca/witchcraft and to other magickal groups like the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. I just want to live decently, and income surplus I can share.

Some of my concerns were foreseen by creators of films like: 'Matrix', 'Terminator' or 'Space Odyssey'.

About.

I am styling myself as a Virtual Adept, a computer-oriented Magician from storytelling game 'Mage: the Ascension'.

It's a part of art style i am creating, an art style that i've named: 'Art of Magick & Light'.


Part of that chore (style creation) is translating M:tA's silly game mechanics into real magick-related lore & terms.

The style, 'Art of Magick & Light', uses real world's witchcraft/magick lore & wisdom afterall.


Patterns & Quintessence.

In 'Mage: the Ascension' one can perceive doing spellwork as creating/modifying/destroying patterns and directing the Quintessence, magickal energy.

Quintessence is manipulated by the Sphere of Prime.

Patterns are manipulated by Spheres of Forces, Life & Matter.

When pattern(s) are fueled with quintesence, the magick is focused into realm of spirit (Astral Plane), then earth - real world - changes over time, becomes a more or less precise copy of the spirit realm as it is at the current moment, at given location. In Mage: the Ascension game such changes can occur very quickly.

Thoughtforms & Energies.

In traditional magical parlance, what you focus on and project energy into is called a 'thought form.'

Procedure.

For Athamé, Chalice, Wand & Pentacle Purification/Consecration/Charging I'll use 'procedure' described in the book: 'Witch Crafting' by Phyllis Curott. It is allowed to use any meditation in the 'Grounding and Centering' part, so i'll use a Simple form of Buddhist Meditation on Breath, (imagining and counting (from 1 to 10 and again ...) breaths as they enter, remain in, and leave one's body, practiced in a half-lotus position, this time.) :)



Why Mediation on Breath?

For two reasons:

1. It's simple and versatile practice.
2. When I've roleplayed a Sorcerer named: 'Attentus', I've used to play him meditating on breath in Zazen position. Not sure whether he imagined or only counted breaths though. Now I am styling myself to be like him to some degree, both in internal and external way. It's a part of Art Style i am creating, named: 'Art of Magick & Light'.


If I remember correctly, I've got this meditation practice (Meditation on Breath) from the book: 'The Three Pillars of Zen' by Roshi Kapleau, and this was before I took refuge in Buddha, Sangha, Dharma & Lama Ole Nydahl. Refuge is initiation into Buddhism, after taking refuge one becomes officially a Buddhist.


I am mostly a Karma Kagyu buddhist (In Lama Ole Nydahl's buddhist community), but i've visited Zen Buddhist Center as well. (ZBZ Bodhidharma in Falenica near Warsaw/Poland).

I should Purify, Consecrate & Charge the Altar Tools (Athamé, Chalice, Wand & Pentacle) on next New Moon (about 30 December 2024). Or perhaps just after the new year (1 January 2025).

Black Wooden Wand.

Silver/Amethyst Athamé.

My new Athamé (Magickal Knife for directing energies).

It's blade is 9 cm long, and whole Athamé is 17.5 cm long.

My roleplaying character, sorcerer named: 'Attentus', used similar one, he had silver Athamé at his left hip.

This Athamé knife (as on image above) is made of silver alloy with amethysts, and violet/purple was colour used by Wethrillina Aeliath, Attentus's witch-lover.

/ In witchcraft, the colour of purple symbolizes: Power, Color of Royalty and Spiritual Authority, also associated with sexual pleasure. /


Attentus, on the other hand used Black and Silver - the colours of the Buddhist Protector's. Attentus was wearing Black Magician's robe with a touch of Silver embroidery, and had silver Athamé at his left hip. He was snobbish gentleman too.

He meditated for spells in the zazen position (Sitting on heels, as is practiced both in Martial Arts and in Zen Buddhism as well).

/ It is curious that in Buddhism, Black & Silver are on a cover of the booklet: 'Summoning Protector. Black Coat.' But with help of Wethrillina, Attentus's choice of colours was Black & Silver before I knew that buddhist protector Mahakala uses these colours too. The Protector summoned is known as: 'Mahakala', translated as: 'Great Black'. I think that 'Mahakala' can be perceived as either: 'Protecting Energy', 'Buddhist Protector', or/and: 'Wrathful Deity'. /

So, my new Athamé knife is like Attentus's Athamé, but with a nice magickal, feminine aspect added to it. :)

/ It is long, so it is mostly a masculine tool. It has purple/violet, round amethysts so it has feminine aspect as well. I think it unifies masculine energies with feminine energies, and can be used to direct these in an act of spellcasting. Union of masculine and feminine energies is more than energies of a man and of a woman taken separately. /

One curiosity about Athamé is that it is never meant to draw blood. If it does, it loses it's magickal properties forever. And it works like it never had such powers before. So spells cast using it in past, cease working.

... but what about using Athamé to cast offensive spell without piercing skin or drawing blood in the direct contact?

In Mage: the Ascension there's tradition faction called: 'Sons of Ether'.

Over a decade ago i've met in the internet a friend, a woman from France.

She's a Beautiful Artist & Scientist, she knows Physics & Chemistry, she's a witch, a hard-working woman and Daugther of Ether / pl: 'Córa Eteru' / with a lot of Nephandi allies (Nephandi are Magicians who use Black Magick). She's not worst at computer programming as well - at least by my high, Virtual Adept's standards.

With her, and some help in the field of Biology (Molecular Biology mostly), the Power of Nanotechnology is within our reach - as the Physics, Chemistry & Biology are keys to Nanotech.


If we have the Power of Nanotechnology, my Computer Sciences knowledge & Experience can be used to control Nanomachines - as computers can control machines. This would be the distributed application / pl: 'aplikacja rozproszona' / - software that spans over many machines that collaborate, work together for a common goal.

(Perhaps Advanced Mathematics, Microscopy, Electronics & Mechatronics can be useful as well).


I've had insights (thoughts appearing in my mind) that this can be arranged, and perhaps even a fully-fledged Nanotechnologist (Buddhist Nanotechnologist) will join us if/when we have support of Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

I've had insights that my friend Martha (from Poland) can find and handle a biologist for us as well.

Necronomicon, Horror on the Orient Express & Deals with Technocracy.

There's roleplaying game titled: 'Call of Cthulhu'.

Some players play spiritually, I think... to build supernatural powers for the team and game master/storyteller ... and to coordinate themselves.

There's adventure called: 'Horror on the Orient Express'.

Why to play this adventure campaign?

For example to have more control over the supernatural hazards on the pilgrimage/trade routes to Tibet via the Orient. Both Far East and Middle East are Orient as well.


Since a while i had insights (thoughts appearing in mind) that something has to be done about some players, as they went way too far in that...


I've planned to use Mage: the Ascension for this, but then a friend from my past contacted me in my mind.

Her name is Martha, and she studied Necronomicon since youth. She's dangerous occultist i think, but this time she sided with me, for now at least.

(In Buddhism, friends - by definition - help each other to develop, both spiritually and in more mundane ways).


I think that someone who researched Necronomicon has power over Cthulhu Art & Games, as the Cthulhu Mythos has roots in Necronomicon.


It seems - for now at least - that 'Horror on the Orient Express' is no longer a threat.

At least for as long as Martha is on our side.

I was thinking about myself, and I think that I am a Computer-Oriented Magician, styled as a 'Virtual Adept'.

(Word 'Oriented' is intended, to emphasize my affiliation with Tibetan Buddhism).


... I hope that Technocracy won't be such a big issue for me, and for my friends. I can involve myself in Apple's and Google's technologies and solutions, perhaps someday make deals with Apple and Google, perhaps with Microsoft and/or more as well.

What's the difference between Virtual Adepts and Technocracy?

Virtual Adepts teach and help, while Technocracy protects their secrets to rule and to swim in riches.

But i think that Technocracy has it's good side too - even if it's rare and often fake.
