A few notes about Magic, Clairvoyance, Brainwaves & Chakras in Wicca.

About.

Just a few ideas to note, taken from 'Principles of Wicca. The only introduction you'll ever need.' book by Vivianne Crowley.


Magick, High & Low.

In Wicca there's place both for natural magic / low magic / and for high magick.

High magick is mostly for spiritual development. / I think that spiritual development is morality, knowledge/truth & supernatural powers /.

Low magic is practical, it often means changing material plane according to witch's wishes & will / supernatural powers /.



Clairvoyance & Magic.

Clairvoyance - also known as Second Sight or Sixth Sense - is accepting 'signals' coming from outside, often in form of visions.

Such signals often manifest themselves during one's sleep.

Clairvoyance is used to foretell the future, and there are many means to achieve this.

Magic is sending energies from inside to outside world, to change the material plane, to change the world.


Components used in Magic.

Tools as wand or candle's flame can be useful, but the most important are inner processes that occur in spellcaster:
- Visualization,
- Concentration,
- Altered States of Consciousness / Trance,
- Ethreal Energy.


Trance, Brain State & Waves.

Usually brain functions in state called: 'Beta', a swift pattern of Activity. It's very useful state - when we pass the street, to the other side of the street, we do not want to be bombarded with 'important spiritual visions', for example.

'Theta' waves are much slower state, commonly achieved during the REM phase of sleep or during meditation. During the Theta State one often receives 'signals' from 'beyond'. I think it's both spiritual and more or less random messages, of one's present, future and past. During 'Theta' state mind's limits are penetrated and sometimes 'leak' occurs from one person to another. One should be cautious when opening oneself to the 'Theta' state, as sudden opening to dangerous mind contacts might result in serious mental illness.

Between the 'Theta' and 'Beta' there's also 'Alpha' state. It's achieved usually when we relax with eyes closed. Alpha state is the gateway to deeper states of consciousness that are neccessary during the magical processes.


Ethereal Body & Chakras.

Witches always believed that body has energies, that can be directed, used or sent elsewhere to achieve certain result.

One of such energies is emited by ethereal body that surrounds and penetrate physical body. Ethereal body is equipped with special centers, called in sanskrit: 'Chakras', which means: 'Wheels'.

Through chakras, energy can be received and sent.

Wicca Made Easy: Magical Chanting ('Nice, Scented, Attractive').

Chanting is one of the most joyful ways to alter our consciousness
(which has been scientifically proven),
and make magic.

I've given some thought to a short phrase that expresses what I want to change, accomplish, create in life. I didn't overthink, letting my playful side have some fun composing something that I enjoy.

I sat in a place where i wouldn't be disturbed. I've breathed until I felt my mind and body grow quiet and peaceful. I've felt energy flowing through me and around me.

I've felt my consciousness shift and my perception became clearer. I've felt my heart open, i've felt myself to be increasingly connected to the Sacred. I've felt myself coming into union and wholeness. I've thanked Creation for receiving my intention, my energy, my magic.

I've inhaled fully and naturally. I've chanted my enchantment as I exhaled.

I've completed the Chant, as described in a book ('Wicca Made Easy', by Phyllis Curott).

I've created a Spell, and wrote it in my Magical Journal (this blog is my magical Journal, among other topics).

What you chant, repeat, visualize,
imagine evokes change within
you and in the world.

Introduction.

Art, including 'Art of Magick & Light' - the Art Style i am trying to create - uses symbols, both graphical and textual ... other as well.

... how to represent music? either notes notation scrolling at bottom, analyzed frame by frame as in film ... or at least compact disc album cover with performers and song's title at bottom, etc ...

... with Arts, i am trying to create myself as a 'Virtual Adept', a Computer Oriented Magician.

Art Style i am creating uses symbols, history & lore of various Spiritual / Esoteric / Occult / Magickal / etc groups.

... is it True Magic or just Graphical, Visual Entertainment?

... i'll let readers think and decide on their own.


Is Art Magical?

... while i think that: 'Art is slightly magical, the subtler Art the better', there are Arts that consider spiritual, occult, ... more than other Art Styles.

... in my eyes, for me ... Art & Beauty are more Important, more Precious than Power.

... qualities / pl: 'właściwości' / can be analyzed with regards to 'Art of Magick & Light', or other more 'mundane' Arts.

... Art can have, for example:
- relaxing, mind calming qualities,
- anger release qualities,
- mood raising qualities,
- shocking qualities,
- ...

... it is also the quality, whether Art is for Spiritual Development, or a form of attack, spiritual fall.


'Problem' & Tools.

... i think Art does not have problems, only needs ... but Computer Sciences consider problems - so i use this word here.

Symbols represent ideas, Art pieces convey messages.

Spiritually, Esoterically oriented people often come upon symbolic messages - found in books, in films, in internet, in dreams, in visions ... and are stuck with discovering messages' meaning(s).

The image below can be used for visualization, along with wishes, prayers, spells and mantras - so true nature of a being or phenomenon can be analyzed and understood.

Beings differ from Phenomena in that:
- Beings have Mind,
- Phenomena do not have Mind.

A Three of the Card 'Games'.

... i am not the best of card games players, but 3 of card 'games' are important for me.

- TAROT, it's not only a game,
- Magic: the Gathering - including the online version,
- Poker.


M:tG is short for Magic: the Gathering.

M:tGO is short for Magic: the Gathering Online.

i am using M:tGO Cards with Skrying to learn Real Magick as well.

During first official tournament of M:tG in Poland, i was on 3rd place.

My friend from high school (Konrad Zalewski) was 2nd, he was good enough with 'Poker Tricks' to know when i have Counterspells still.

He used for a while 'Glasses of Urza' MtG card (it reveals hand) to learn me & my reactions to cards i have & his play.

Poker Face is important in any card game & not only, i think. Other of 'Poker Tricks' as well.

... what is '... hota play ?' and 'hold'em' as in 'Texas Play' ?

... i am aware of a facebook game: 'texas hold'em poker', but i don't know if it's good enough for people's needs.

... spying is basis of strategy, and strategy let's win against greater forces.

Magic Game.

Black-Blue 'sinisters' Collection.

Magic: the Gathering is just Art & Game, but i think it has uses in the Real Magick.

When i was Young, i played it a lot, was addicted, spent a lot of money on cards.

With friends, we practiced in school and after - for months or more.

i played White-Blue Deck, Colors of Purity & Hope, Papal Colors - but also Colors of Light & Mind, Purity of Experience & Hope for Enlightenment.

i used Crusades, Creatures & Counters mostly.

During the first M:tG Official Tournament in Poland i did achieve 3rd place, my friend from school with his Black-Blue Draining, Creature & Versatility Deck achieved 2nd Place.

After a time i defeated this addiction by giving other friends all of my cards.

Recently however i created M:tG Online account, played deck white as Light then swapped cards for black-blue 'sinisters', with a value loss - at least for now.

Most importantly i got Drain Lifes, many of them more valuable foils. These are hard to get, not produced anymore, not available to play.

But i do not plan to play, only to invest a little & collect.

i think these Cards are Computer-Related works of Art & Entertainment, i have earned them with effort & money.

This has uses in the Art's Speech, including in the 'Art of Magick & Light'. i can say i have these spells. if i have them, i can study - by observing names, images, flavour texts & other aspects, by thinking, by drawing inspiration, learning Real Magick associated - if neccessary with uses of Skrying & other methods.

Answering Question what uses the 'Art of Magick & Light' has for 'sinisters' if it's so about 'Light' - answer is:
- for Securing, so others won't have & abuse,
- for Countering, in case others also have those,
- for Self-Defense,
- for Protecting others,
- for Transforming into the Light.

i am a Virtual Adept in a way, so it's important that these art-entertainment resources are computer-related.

Real Magick also has to be fought for, at least with Money & Effort.

Numerologically, the numbers of spell cards also have meanings, as well as special value of foil cards & variety of types.

Magick vs Magic.

Magick, in the context of Aleister Crowley's Thelema, is a term used to differentiate the occult from stage magic and is defined as 'the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will', including both 'mundane' acts of will as well as ritual magic.

Crowley wrote that 'it is theoretically possible to cause in any object any change of which that object is capable by nature'.

That is, certain people use word Magick to describe Reality Changes & word Magic to describe pulling rabbits off' their hats on a stage. Other people make no such distinction - they use word Magic to describe both.

Magic Tools: Elements, Gender & other Aspects.

it's summarized in a table:

according to this, there's observation:
- Wind (Air) & Fire are male aspects, these also might represent soldiers with weapons (sword instead of athamé) under the general with it's attributes (scepter instead of wand),
- Water & Earth are female aspects, together these are mud in which Lotus Flower grows, perhaps?

on the other hand, we can argue that it's tool that has gender associated, not element itself.

both Athamé & Wand are straight, male ... both Pentacle & Chalice are circle-shaped, female.


... but, why bother with these considerations?

it has uses in Arts, if You care enough to say something well.

Imagination & Magic.

... i think that way, but i am learning still, use or not at Your own risk.

Magic(k)s are extension(s) of Mage's Will, i read, i think ...

a part of casting a Spell is formulating a Wish, is knowing what to do, is sending energy there, is willing a Wish to happen, is willing a Wish to come true.

imagination helps to see, to understand, to believe that this is going to happen,

... as it happened with St. Thomas, 'to see is to believe'.

... it's also a way of expressing Mage's Will to do something.

it's said that 'belief does wonders & miracles'.

i think that while belief is not neccessary for a wish to happen, to come true ...

... it's still a skillful mean for strenghtening a wish.

there are other ways of 'accenting a cast', such as lighting a candle or a cigarette lighter, making a sound with snapping fingers, speaking formulae, etc ...

... but there's more to that, not a topic of this an article still.

Magic, Magick, Why ?

i think it's strange, hard to understand methodology for enforcing changes in reality.

plans are hard to understand by enemies, competition won't react efficiently if they won't perceive moves properly.

there are 'allied forces' that join & support many ways, as one develops in Magickal Arts, part of Magickal Way is using them efficiently.

there are 'enemy forces' to be outsmarted, before they kill or harm, or step in the way.

there are 'forces of paradox', 'reality resisting changes - often in an unaware, but still significiant way'.

subtler reality changes cause less of resistance, this is mentioned in 'Mage: The Ascension', a book.

there's lot more about that methodology in Arts, the 'subtler art', the better.

'Magic' differs from 'Magick' by 'k', perhaps it's just a 'kinetic' aspect of the way - kicks, bullets, male unsubtleties perhaps ... perhaps they still hide subtler truth somehow.

'stage magicians' often cover small meaningful moves with Larger, Drawing Attention of audience to them.

'Aspect' is 'side, part of'.

using Magic or Magick to achieve something is often associated with extra expenses, extra planning, extra tricks.

but these costs are often well worth, as competition can't react properly if we succeed in outsmarting them - this cuts the more significiant costs of fighting opposition directly, in an open way.

Magical Enlightenment.

Many people do believe in magic.

Others wonder why they are consistently unhappy.

Can there be Magical Enlightenment or Awakened Magic depending on aspect(s) of this way? (aspect = side, part of something).

If yes, then i think that at certain points in time on the way, aspects need to awaken enough to overcome barriers of varying natures including physical terrorist forces in external world.

While i am Buddhist, aspects include Wicca & Kabbalah, i think, but also other esoteric traditions, cultures & religions that are not understood, neglected by many.
