Black Wooden Wand.

My new wand.

Long wand (30 cm) with simple design. No unnecessary decorations or symbols.

Hand carved from solid, french walnut wood. Covered with bees wax and linseed oil. Black coloured (colours on image above altered by lighting; for original image on Etsy.com: click here).

In Buddhism, and sometimes in Witchcraft, Black is color of Protection.

--
I'll need to consecrate this Wand as well.

I was advised in Phyllis Curott's facebook Wicca/Witchcraft group to use method described in 'Witch Crafting' book by Phyllis Curott, in the 'Potions and Notions' chapter.

Spoon.

About.

Magick is like a Sword.

When learning magick, first thing to learn is when to NOT use magick.

But then, second lesson is that it's wise to protect the weak ... so we can fight wisely.

... I advise using the 'Minimum Force Approach'.

Spoon.

Waving a wand is NOT like waving a spoon in the soup.

Magick is not meant to be used to conjure money and eat to one's full. But sometimes magicians do that, nevertheless.

One should use wand wisely, with a forethoughts. For example one can touch medicine with a wand, then one's forehead ... directing energies and avoiding making unneccessary and stupid moves in process.

MtG Low Magick: Healing Salve.

Introduction.

It's said that every tool in Magician's hands can be used for Real Magick - even games, computer games or other.

Cards - Tarot Cards or other Cards symbolically represent something, say something, have meaning.

It's said that Magick is a way of speaking with Universe, speaking abstractly, using symbols.

Every symbol used represents karmic connections with beings and/or phenomena related with it. Beings differ from phenomena by having mind. Beings have Mind, phenomena do not have mind.

We can use wand or athame to direct energies from one symbol to another symbol.

... or we can do something else. / but let's not forget that using symbols should say more or less precisely what we want to happen. /

It's said that Universe loves us and tries to fulfill our wishes, prayers, spell.

The more precisely we define spellwork and target, the more accurate our magick will be.

The Spell.

... i've used a Magic: the Gathering card named: 'Healing Salve'.

Touched the card with my wand, then touched my Crown Chakra (on top of head), then touched my Heart Chakra.

Thus - my wand, my healing wand - directed healing energies from beings & phenomena related with healing - directed to my crown chakra and heart chakra.

A Spell - Poem of the Wand.

-=- Wand of the Dirt. -=-

Raven's Eyes, Awaken!
Cloak of Mists, Wisdom Awaken!
Masculine Emotions, the Swamps of Desire, Will & Power, Awaken!
Eye of Madness, Awaken!
Godess Power Wand, Awaken!
Raven's Eyes, Awaken!

Blessed be.

-=- Explaination. -=-

This a spell-poem is a Low Magick, it's title is 'Wand of the Dirt'.

It warns against troubles & dangers - as a Raven, a flying shadow, with it's eyes,
It is quite a tricky spell, as is enveloped by the 'Cloak of Mists', wisely at that,
It evokes Masculine Emotions, often dirty as the Swamps - the Conditions for Lotus Flower to Grow,
It awakens Eye of Madness, to confront & see through the Stiff ideas, to Protect as well,
It awakens Power of the Wand, the lights & shadows of the abundance, power & health in it, to Protect,
It's masculine aspect, affects feelings, associated with the element of fire,

It blesses or curses as well, depending on intent toward us.

Which is Fire, Which is Air?

... sources in the Internet vary.

in the book about TAROT i've found following:
- Swords are associated with the Element of Air,
- Wands (or Scepters) are associated with the Element of Fire.

also i've found article that pointed out that following traditions of:
- Wiccan influenced by Gerald Gardner,
- Thelema,
- The Golden Dawn,
- O.T.O.

practice from as best as i can tell, the athamé - air, wand - fire analogy.

... there are those who practice athamé - fire, wand - air as well.

... is Athamé a Sword?

i've found information in an article that it's a shorter version of the Sword, to be used as a 'personal tool' for Ritual Magick, as for example mentioned in 'The Keys of Solomon'.
