Selene & Selenite.

Selene.

Selene is name of the enchanting Greek Goddess of the Moon, who brings light to the darkness of the night.

Daughter of Titans Hyperion and Theia, Selene illuminates our inner world and governs the rhythms of our lives.

Selene and Artemis were also associated with Hecate and all three were regarded as moon and lunar goddesses, but only Selene was regarded as the personification of the Moon itself.

Her equivalent in Roman religion and mythology is the goddess Luna.

Selene was/is worshipped at the new and full moons, and played an important role in love magick.

Selenite.

Selene's name is forever linked with the powerful crystal Selenite, believed to hold her divine lunar energy.

(Well, in Buddhism we think that nothing lasts forever - except for Enlightenment, but this blog is about Witchcraft/Wicca & other Magick, and far less about Buddhism. I am not sure about Wiccan/Witchcraft's approach to eternity as well.)

This stunning, milky-white gemstone is known for its ability to cleanse, charge, and amplify the energy of other crystals.

It's convenient to keep quartz (or other) crystals in a Selenite bowl when they are not in use - so they are ready to be picked up and used when one needs, without prior preparations.

Less chores with purifying in salt/rice, less chores with charging.

(Selenite should be kept away from water because the Selenite dissolves in water, and because it is made up of a gypsum compound, it’s toxic).

Selenite bowl.

I've got a selenite bowl for cleansing & charging crystals (quartz crystals for now).

It's size is 6 cm x 6 cm. (It's small, can hold only 3 crystals).

Crystal.

Ordered on wicca.org website, finally it arrived.

Ordered because i love beauty of crystals and candles ... of incense sticks, black cat and raven figurines too.

i like simple beauty of TAROT Tools as well: Athamé, Chalice, Wand and Pentacle.

Asked: 'How candles and crystals can be used to do magic' in facebook's wicca group.

It seem it's a mountain crystal / pl: kryształ górski / that has neutral properties, can be used as a catalyst for intent ... it should help one's intent wish to realize.

Candles are catalysts too.

It's important to study what colors symbolize, in case of white translucent crystal it can be any colour - white can be split into a rainbow of many colours.

I've learned that this crystal either can store intent - wish, and in this case should be kept close until wish is realized.

I've learned that this crystal - when wish isn't stored - absorbs and purifies negative energies ... and should be cleaned under cold water frequently.

What i'll use it for?

... i'll offer it to a buddhist woman i love ... so she can choose what intent it can hold.

... perhaps she will agree to include her, also to include a friend - Nerialka on DeviantArt, and also to include me ... in a friendship bond intent-wish, for a friendship between us three.

... perhaps she will agree to use air & water elements - mist together - mist that can protect our secrets.

... mist protects secrets, hard to see in mist.

... cursed mist protects differently ... curse can take form of poisonous mist, or radioactive mist, etc.

On last thing - i learned that while crystals are nice and cool, process of gathering them is 'dirty' - people who gather are underpaid, work in terrible conditions, damaging ecosystem, nature in process.

... where's balance? should i buy more of such crystals? if yes ... how many?

Witches, are they crystal clear?

Introduction.

i love witches - as a whole with their families & cat familiars, as well - but no more than a Buddhist woman that i fight for.

i read a little about their past, this gave me more knowledge about their low & practical, wicked & independent feminine nature.

Thoughts & Myths.

i read that witches in past were persecuted, feared & hated by many - by others loved, feared & admired.

i think they were independent women who dared to have their own opinion, who (often secretly) challenged church & rulers.

they were wise, knew how to heal or secretly poison people, how to deliver kids or stop births; their wisdom often made them rich, for people came to them when they were in needs.

their initiation meetings, Sabbats, were mostly wicked, hedonistic, erotic, narcotic, psyched, blasphemous and often crime-inducing.

i think that in rare, in most the depraved cases, these were as vile & disgusting as church portrayed them.

Blog author's approach.

i have seen witches with loving eyes for years, as crystal clear, being fascinated as well.

should i change, now that i truth about their low practices returned to me?

i'll try to remain critical & aware but still will see them with loving eyes, inspiring myself & others for a vision of very crystal clear, spiritual, fascinating & erotic women.
