TAROT - More than Fortunetelling.

When someone asks how he or she should start learning Magick, i say - buy a TAROT deck of cards.

TAROT is mostly known for it's fortunetelling uses, but i think it's far more.


Each card is a Symbol, different TAROT decks have different images and meanings. Magicians use symbols in their Spellwork.


There are also Ritual Tools of TAROT:
- Athamé,
- Chalice,
- Pentacle,
- Wand.

These are useful in Spellwork & Rites.


Also, i am noticing similarities between TAROT and Jung's Psychology.

Important ideas in Jungian Psychology are Archetypes - i've read that TAROT is not so much Occult as Archetypal. Archetypes worked far in past, before TAROT decks were created.

'To Will', a Fire-Rite.

As everyday, today also had insights - thoughts occured in Mind.

... i need a spell-mantra that enhances power of other spell-mantras, as well as magickal power & willpower.

The power of masculine feelings is related with fire, with the power: 'to will'.

... in my case, fire element corresponds with a wand, one of the Magickal TAROT Tools.

... i was pondering about Power, Will & Void, and relations between these.

From my Martial Arts experience, i know that Mind is strongest, as well as most vulnerable part during training & combat. One can teach Mind to be strong, skillful & wise - Mind should rule body, not the otherwise. i've assessed as 5/6 of overcoming weakness during training is strong, skillful and wise mind, and 1/6 is physical body conditioning. Proper Breath, Visualizations, Mantras, and Energy Attunement are also important.

... i think one should 'know oneself' before learning about enemies, one should make self-understanding a constant practice, even during one's sleep.

... i've entered a way that includes Milam / Tibetan Dream Yoga /, Kalachakra / Buddhist Wheel of Time /, Dzogchen / Buddhist Great Perfection /, and Void - including the power-building practices of the Void.

Milam and Kalachakra are not a time waste, these practices hasten other practices and lead to Enlightenment. Great Perfection will be achieved, and Power shall arise, abolishing weakness.

Void, a Buddhist idea, is related with interdependence, with dependence upon conditions & causes that make phenomena appear, exist, and disappear. Conditions - mostly inner conditions, but also external - can make one's mind strong or weak. Therefore it is important to understand how to create, support or abolish conditions, how to create, neutralize, destroy causes. Weakness and Power are conditioned - therefore passing in nature. Fight for power should take form making conditions and causes of weaknesss weaken and disappear. One should focus on himself or herself first, before going to weaken his or her enemies - as in a wisdom: 'Know Yourself, Know Enemy'.

In my mind, insights appeared that great inspirations for increasing one's willpower are Uri Geller - Israeli Miracle-Worker, Hermetic Quaballah of the Golden Dawn and Thelema, as well as Nihilism.

... i lit a red fire-candle on my Magickal Altar, and placed a wand next to it. This should affect the powerfield and put emphasis on my fire aspect, on my masculine feelings and will, affecting me as time progress.

My wand is related with Godess, Power, Snakes, Abundance and Health - should be important tool in increasing my power, as well as in affecting power of other beings and phenomena.

... i wish to use a spell-mantra: 'It is wand', that will affect power of myself and others - when ready.

Wealth & Warnings Spell Rite.

i've performed a simple Spell - Rite this evening.


... with a course for my psychotherapy assistant work nearing completion, i wanted to cast a spell for increasing wealth, in a beyond-personal way.


... did put a TAROT Card of the Ace of Coins on a Magickal Altar in my apartment, over a rest of the Marseilles TAROT deck i have.

There are more of tools on Altar, i decided to not change it too much - instead to use & weave into this cast.

These tools are:
- Black Obsidian Skrying Mirror,
- Raven Familiar Statue.

There's Nerialka's Nitescence paint as well, i relate it with Liberation & Esoterics, with Perception, Skrying & more.


i followed the Four Steps for Spellcasting, with intent of increasing wealth of myself & my karmic connections, according to merit ... and with invoking warnings of wealth loss dangers as well.

TAROT Cards of Coins are related with Wealth, Abundance, Earth & Protection - in many of other TAROT decks these are called Pentacles.

Black Obsidian Skrying Mirror allows 'to see', Black Obsidian has Protecting & Karma Purifying qualities as well.

Raven Familiar Statue calls astral ravens that hunt for wealth opportunities, can fly and see far as well - providing warnings.

Protection & Prosperity Short Rite.

A Rite.


Recently, i had a lot of bad karma, felt attacked internally, went into financial debts.

Today i performed a short magick Rite.

On a makeshift Magickal Altar, next to a Warning-Giving Raven Familiar Statue, under a 'Nitescence' Paint by Nerialka, i set alight two of my incense sticks:
- one for protection, at base,
- one for prosperity, at lower right part of an incense holder.

i've invoked Protection & Prosperity, including Protection of Prosperity & Prosperity's Protection.

Raven Familiar Statue should enhance Protection with warnings in Mind.

i've shared results with Karmic Connections, according to Merit.

On my 40th birthday, today, when i entered my Middle Age i performed the Rite to celebrate.

Preparations for the Rite took me months or even years - not sure anymore - but most of the efforts happened in about last three weeks.

i think i've received wisdom & support from many - mostly from the Wicca/Witchcraft, Buddhism, Thelema & the Golden Dawn, i owe them for that - it's karmic debt.

Today i closed & concluded these preparations with this the Rite.

i've performed the Rite in the Service to Buddha Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje 17th High Holiness & Witch Godess Kali Ma, Mahakali.

i consecrated my new pentacle.

At the time of the Rite the Moon was in the Thrid Quarter, the time of Reaping - including reaping benefits & negative results of my karma, including Reaping benefits of Preparations for the Rite.

Soon it will be time to Honor the Crone, to repay the karmic debts, to reduce or discard less important ways as well.

Rite's Goal.

it's a Rite to protect myself & my karmic connections, through magickal means, according to the merit accumulated:
- merit toward me,
- merit toward my friends,
- merit toward reaching Wicca's Summerland,
- merit toward union with the Golden Dawn's Divine,
- merit toward Enlightened Love,
- merit toward Enlightenment.


Symbols Used.

A Five of the TAROT cards, powerful symbols, i've used to build magickal power.

1. The Mage card as an opening, states power's nature.
2. A Temperance card is next, it tells how power is built and spent - with responsibility, temperance & modesty.
3. The World card follows, it tells that power will manifest in the World, through Spiritual World, through the Malkuth Sephirot.
4. A Strength card that is next, symbolizes the power in itself.
5. The Stars card is last, it's from where the power is drawn, where we reach for it.


Athamé directs arcane energies, through the element of Air.


The Silver Pentacle (a powerful symbol of Protection) with a Black Candle (Protection Invocation Candle) receives the power directed by Athamé.


Power spreads Radiantly as the Light through the Air.


Visualization & a Gesture.

i've visualized myself with a black/silver cloak of Mahakala's Protection, surrounded with purple magickal energy aura.

i rose my arms upwards, to send protecting energy where's needed, then visualized energy lines reaching from me into the space, to my karmic connections.

This energy of magickal nature should Protect our Ways.


Directing the Will.

i wish to proceed with this a Rite as the time flows, to involve my will toward Protecting those who need.

A Power Protection Rite.

Introduction.

On a hunch of suspiciousness, i did call a 'Raven's Eyes' power then had insights that warned me about people associated with Catholic Church that i know.

Insights warned me that these people wish to steal our power (magickal & dharmic energies mostly, but not only) from me & from familiar buddhists to use against our common foes - they plan this to happen after new year when holidays end.

Their reasoning is that this power is 'too expensive', so they wanted just to steal it instead of 'paying' with prayers, services, good deeds etc.


A Rite.

Did a small magickal rite to protect Blady Kris - a Buddhist Artist - as well as other involved people from power stealing & other dangers, more or less.

Did this using the four steps of spell casting:
1. Stated my goal in mind,
2. Did choose tools - a protection invocation candle & a pentacle.
3. Visualized (Imagined) steps to proceed with: put a pentacle next to candle, with it's leather cord around the protection invocation candle, then light a candle using a cigarette lighter. imagined flame arising as well.
4. Engaged my energy & will - followed with steps as planned & visualized.

After a while took a photo, then a while later blew a candle flame off.

Later noticed that a pentacle is facing downwards, not upwards as planned - but this is not a disaster yet, for the Fiery Radiant Godess of the pentacle 'kissess the silent earth' that way, helping magick to manifest a rite in Malkuth - one of the ten emanations in the Qabalistic Tree of Life, as well as accenting Protection aspect of the Pentacle associated with the Earth element.

i did a Simple Dharmic-Magickal Protection Rite, it's a start.

Dharma is a word for Buddha's Unsurpassable Teachings, there are other Dharmic Religions as well.

Magick can also include Witchcraft & Wicca, at least in my case, i think.

On a temporary Magickal Altar, under a 'Nitescence' eye, i put a Spellbook & a Black Protection Candle.

i set the Candle alight, i spoke a few of Mantras in Mind.

My wish for this Candle Magick is to Protect families,

Both of friends' - as well as of ours - both Esoteric & Buddhist families at that.

Focus is on kids, but also on adults, from any dangers - including spiritual dangers & 'energy leaks', as well.

A wand & athamé direct a magickal energies to the Queen of Chalices, representing feminine sensivity, perceptions & intuitions.

Queen of Chalices is associated with the element of water (as is chalice), gentle feminine feelings aspect of the Mind.

A wand is associated with the element of fire, male feelings aspect of the Mind; It's located at the bottom of a rite-space, feelings forming base for thoughts above.

Athamé is associated with the element of air, male thoughts aspect of the Mind; In a rite-space it's located above a wand.

Power of feelings & thoughts is directed, feelings & thoughts are perceived by the Queen of Chalices ... augmenting her senses of Empathy (perceiving feelings) & Extra-Sensory Perceptions (ESPs).

Raven's Warnings a Rite.

... this is one of possible extensions to 'A Clairvoyant Rite, 2nd Stage', named it 'Raven's Warnings a Rite'.

... as our Senses & Mind are Protected, we add a 'Raven Eyes' a spell, which grants perceptions that warn us against the dangers of the Psyche (of Mind, of Spirit, of Body).

'Raven's Eyes' are in a domain of the 'King of Cups', who joins Cups' sensivity to feelings, with his own male focus on thoughts & the intelligence, as well.

(King of Cups & Queen of Cups are especially powerful when they come together).

... in later stages of this a Rite, a Raven Statuette or Figurine should appear as well.

A Clairvoyant Rite, 2nd Stage.

After playing an initial Clairvoyant Rite (1st Stage), we add a little of Protection.

Queen of Pentacles, associated with Protection, the Element of Earth, & Thoughts' Mind Aspect will also benefit from Air Energy (Power) Transmission.

Using that Protection as base (it's below), Queen of Cups (Queen of Hearts) can do her work associated with the Element of Water, but also with Feelings.

Loving Eyes Meditation book is at base, for compassion is source of strength.

Mahakala Invocation book is on top, for it forms with that.

Athamé is on top, it use these base way.

Athamé points at a TAROT stack, transmitting Energy of Air.

Knowledge is base of stack, it's TAROT Knowledge book.

Then TAROT deck packed, with the Queen of Cups on top.

Queen of Cups is a Symbol, feminine sensivity & goblet ... filled with liquid as mirror, it can be used to Scry.

Athamé is Ace of Swords still, a Spiritual Weapon for Truth.

it's not consecrated yet still, but still this has power as well.
