Preparing for Mabon.

Introduction.

Depending on your individual spiritual path, there are many different ways you can celebrate Mabon, but typically the focus is on either the second harvest aspect, or the balance between light and dark. This, after all, is the time when there is an equal amount of day and night.

How to prepare for Mabon?

There are plenty of ideas in the Internet.

... for example: [ Ten Ways to Celebrate Mabon on ThoughtCo ].

Blog author's choice.

Before me there's long fight for love & other ideas, still.

i need a calm mind, and power - so i've decided to celebrate Mabon two-ways:
- Find Some Balance,
- Honor the Darkness, Honor the Crone.
- Seek the Darkness & Balance in Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching book.

Finding Balance.

i wish to meditate on breath for a while, using meditation from Lama Ole Nydahl's book, from 'Buddha & Love' book.

Honoring Darkness, Honoring the Crone.

i'll wear my pentacle at this night and speak prayer.

Preparing for Lughnasadh.

This year's Lughnasadh - August 1st - i wish to celebrate with a simple prayer to Lugh.

'Prayer to Lugh

Mighty God Lugh,
God of the craftsman,
Lord of the artisans,
Master of the smiths,
I call to you this day
and Honour your name.
Lugh, who has many talents and skills
I ask of you,
Bless me with your wisdom,
Shine your light upon me this day,
Reveal to me your gifts,
and secrets to mastering my talents.
Great Lugh!
Thank you for your blessing upon me and my home'.

Preparing for Litha.

Litha, a Wiccan Lesser Sabbat.

Midsummer is one of the four solar holidays, and is considered the turning point at which summer reaches its height and the sun shines longest. Among the Wiccan sabbats, Midsummer is preceded by Beltane, and followed by Lammas or Lughnasadh.

i plan to celebrate this year's Litha, 21th June 2018, with a red candle, celebrating fire & light of the sun, as well as with a prayer.

i plan to rub a little of frankincense essential oil in my temples to purify my consciousness & relax.

Litha Prayer to the Sun.

The sun is high above us
shining down upon the land and sea,
making things grow and bloom.
Great and powerful sun,
we honor you this day
and thank you for your gifts.
Ra, Helios, Sol Invictus, Aten, Svarog,
you are known by many names.
You are the light over the crops,
the heat that warms the earth,
the hope that springs eternal,
the bringer of life.
We welcome you, and we honor you this day,
celebrating your light,
as we begin our journey once more
into the darkness.

Last of a Moon Lights', Preparing for Athamé Consecration.

... current moon is waning, under 20% full.

... new moon is time for new starts, then nurturing, full moon's completion, reaping & sharing, then a veneration of Old Crone's Wisdom occurs.

... it's when i should focus on learning Wisdom, both Magickal & Buddhism's, as well as a mundane wisdoms.

last parts of the moonlight is also a time for reading, studying, pondering, thinking & deciding which aspects of the Way are not so beneficial anymore to continue, to neglect in preparation for new ways.

first Athamé Consecration attempt will happen on a new moon, probably during night in a 1-2 days after tonight.

... if neccessary, more attempts will follow, purifying energies of imperfect consecration as well.

1-3 attempts per new new moon, in a lunar month's cycles.
